IOTA Support Crew Tee. I beeline to a good graphic tee. At our print shop we've printed a couple James Paris (@jamesparis___) designs and they're always a treat on the eyes. The release party was indeed a party. If someone took a head count it would have fast approached the record of people you could fit into a South Philly row home. Items for sale included this shirt for $5 off the website price and issue 3 of DRAFT (now sold out.) DRAFT, designed by Nick Massarellii, is a "an ongoing series of books that provide an outlet for the unfinished products and abandoned ideas of established visual artists" according to the website. This issue focused on Nashville photographer Marcus Maddox. As for the IOTA tee, a nice 'pepper' Comfort Colors tee makes the three color screen print pop as all CC tees should. Surprising they chose to keep the CC tag stitched in the back with the extensive and bold print for a brand that seems to stand on its own two feet. I would assume taking a day to rip out all the tags (it's an edition of 50) would steer away even the most brand focused of people. The print is a a nice collage of tools, some concerning print media and some just for fun, such as the British looking fire truck. My best guess for fonts are Gothic 720 Roman (or the Helvetica clone-of-the-month) for IOTA, for the script 'editions' I think it's an edited Brush ATF Bold. For the list I think it could be Marat Black Small, although the lower case looks to be possibly a different version of the font.
Looks like there's some of the Tees still available: here. $35
I'm a sucker for a soccer (football) jersey. I'm more of a sucker for a soccer (football) jersey from a non-soccer team. Instagram advertising got me here 100%, this company 'SSSTUFFF' commands attention first from their ridiculous name and secondly from their even more ridiculous ideas. The most recent round of advertising shows coin slot tees, thermochromic color-changing tees and sweats (a la American Apparel 2008), crystal ball floating gel encased plastic, CVS receipt lookin' belt, hairy shoes, etc etc. Tagline of the website states the pieces are 'HIGHLY!INTERACTIVE!' which is the truth every time I must tuck in this footlong plastic tag sewn into the back of this jersey. Quick list of pros: 1. The sublimation job is top notch. 2. The shape is more 90's jerseys without the armpits coming to a 90 degree angle. 3. The pattern is insane in the best possible way. 4. Very clever use of the Japanese 2020 Olympics logo with three S's and interlocking 2's. Tag font looks like Pragmata Flash 09. Center jersey logo looks like a heavily modified Haulage Commercial Bold Italic. Two items shipped from Barcelona was $20 via DHL and arrived in a week. The packaging alone was worth the purchase, a surprise I'll leave to those who order.
You can still get the jersey in a size small: here. $54
